The Voice: Integration With Live Television

After reading the article it was clear that The Voices consumer engagement was a big part of their digital marketing plan. Using the Voice Instant Save, which inspired fans to send millions of tweets voting for the artists they want to save from elimination and results are shown on-air in real time. They came up with a great way to get views involved by using Twitter and having fans use the hashtag #ChairMeUp. Fans would then receive a graphic with their name on the back of a Voice chair.
The Voice partnered up with some major social media platforms. There was the Facebook | Live Backstage Video, this gave their target audience what they wanted to see, what happens backstage.
The Voice reaches out on many social media platforms to gain engagement of their audience. Let’s just say that they were successful in reaching their audience and getting their views involved in the show. The Voice has emphasized digital voting which is different from past shows like American Idol. Of course they still the old standard of voting by phone, but there’s also an NBC Live app, NBC.com and an iTunes-driven voting platform. This gives their viewers tons of avenues to vote for their favorite artists.
They use their digital savvy and strong fan based along with these new experiences bring a one hour a week show to a 24/7 storytelling journey.
Taking a look at their website and Facebook page you can see that their fan base is huge and spread wide among the generations. Right now the page is promoting their newest Judge, Nick Jonas, to the show. They are posting videos daily with their ads of the show and the date when the show is going to air. Viewers and followers are online engaging on posts and voicing their excitement for the show This is just what the show wants, people being filled with excitement for the show to return and to return with a new judge.
